Food Security

 

During the Nelson Mandela 67 minutes’ campaign, the MEC of Agriculture spend this time at our Centre – planting mushroom seeds and vegetables in the garden.

 

The community garden serves as nourishment for the 30 children that we cook for during the week, the produce also forms part of food parcels that we issue to impoverished families in our community and we sell the balance of the produce to the public and keep the proceeds for the maintenance and the upkeep of the garden
